Amandla Omoya Trust is a Community Trust situated in Jeffrey’s Bay, in the Eastern Cape. The Trust is associated with the Jeffrey’s Bay Wind Farm. The Trust has, out of its research conducted in 2016/17; identified focus areas to support ongoing Socio-Economic Development in the area. The partnership is forged with the Community Based Organisations and Small Enterprise Businesses that operate in the areas. The aim is to boost economic and social development and assist in the advancement of the disadvantaged communities within a 50km radius from the Jeffrey’s Bay Wind Farm. The Trust supports local community and economic development initiatives through grantmaking and capacity building of local organizations in the towns of Jeffrey’s Bay, Humansdorp, Hankey, Patensie, Loerieheuwel and Thornhill.

The Trust is seeking to transform its recently purchased property in Jeffrey’s Bay into a vibrant community resource centre. To achieve this vision, we invite service providers to submit proposals detailing activities and programmes that can be implemented on the property. The Trust is committed to making a long-term investment in this project and looks forward to partnering with organisations that share its mission.

2.Enterprise development targeting young people, that links into a value chain for the supply of food products for community-based nutrition, agricultural, sea fisheries and tourism activities.

The scope of Work:
The Trust would like to see the implementation with the following elements:
Develop a practical plan to start implementing activities/programmes in the community resource centre with a clear and detailed process on what will be done including:
1.Recommended target groups and groups that we should work with.
2.Types of programme implementation plans and utilisation of functional spaces.
3.Cost estimate of 2025/26 budget to be given for this period and plan.
4.The approach of how you/we will do this.

Proposal Guidelines and Requirements:
1.Proposals must be in electronic format.
2.Electronic submissions in pdf format submitted to joy@sibonailangatrust.co.za
3.The proposal must be signed by a duly authorised officer or agent of the company submitting the proposal.
4.The proposal must include the methodology and team members the company intends to utilise to deliver the scope.

Contract Terms
Amandla Omoya Trust will negotiate contract terms upon completion of the selection process. Kindly include your company’s standard terms and conditions for such engagements in your proposal.
Pricing Instruction:
The RFP requires details of the time-based costing per resource and preference will be given to fixed cost proposals. Kindly include details of the following:
-Rate per person at each relevant level intended to be used.
-Any disbursements assumed.
Timeline:
This RFP is dated 23 January 2025.
Complete proposals are due no later than 12h00 CAT, 3 February 2025.
Successful and unsuccessful bidders will be notified on the 30 April 2025.
Evaluation Criteria:
The critical criteria for the evaluation of the Proposals will be thefollowing:
-Value for Money proposition,
-Implementation Plan
-Qualifications and experience,
-BEE recognition level.
